We HATE ads!  Everyone hates ads!  People can’t stand them and businesses hate paying for them because you are paying just to annoy people who may have no interest in your product.  Running ads to get business is one of the last old business models ready for disruption.

I can’t tell you how many times a day I see an ad that I have no interest in and pledge to myself that I will NEVER buy products from that company because I am forced to wait 30 seconds before I can access the information I actually want.

The process of how we have to move about online is so unnatural.  Apply our online lives to any other area of life.  Imagine if you were out to dinner and needed to use the restroom.  What if you had to watch a 30-second ad before you could use the toilet?  You then had to watch another ad before the toilet paper was available to you, another ad before you can wash your hands, another ad in order to dry them, and yet another before the door will open finally allowing you to leave.  This is our life online!!

Banner ads, pop-up ads, commercials on tv, 30-second Youtube ads, and even ads that pop-up as you are closing your browser.  We are so inundated with ads that it’s not as effective as it used to be.
